Professor Debashish Chowdhury

Prof Chowdhury has special sub-speciality interests in Headache Disorders and Stroke Medicine. He is the Convener of Headache subsection of Indian Academy of Neurology since 2013. He has published more than 100 articles in International and National Journals, books and monographs. He has presented more than 50 abstracts on various studies in International and National conferences, seminars and symposia. He has edited 9 books and was the editor of Indian Clinical Update series on Headache being published by Indian Academy of Neurology. He runs “Headache Clinic” at GB Pant Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research, in New Delhi, only of its kind in a tertiary care academic institute in India. He has organized many National and International Headache conferences in India including Indian Headache Master School and Indian Headache master Summit in association with International Headache Society. His current headache research focus is on trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias, co-morbidities and risk associations in migraine and cognitive functioning in migraine.
